Executive brings experience from the Perkins School for the Blind, ties to New Hampshire
November 2015 – Concord, NH – The Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Association for the Blind, the only statewide organization dedicated to the advancement of the independence of persons who are blind or visually impaired, is pleased to announce that David S. Morgan will be our new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective at the end of November.
Mr. Morgan was chosen from a pool of over seventy international applicants in a process conducted by the NHAB Executive Search Subcommittee that began last summer with the support of Boston executive search firm Egmont Associates.
Mr. Morgan has extensive executive experience, including Vice President of Perkins School for the Blind, and General Manager of Perkins Products. Prior to his 10 years at Perkins, David has served in executive positions at companies well known in New Hampshire and New England. During each of his assignments, David has been significantly involved in local community programs. He is accomplished in growing and transforming a range of for profit and nonprofit firms and has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations. David was born and raised in Concord, New Hampshire and looks forward to returning home as he takes this new position.
Mr. Morgan completed his undergraduate work at Daniel Webster College, earned his MBA at UNH, with other post graduate work at the University of Phoenix and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He is married and has five children.
Mr. Morgan succeeds George Theriault who is retiring after 34 years of service to NHAB; the last 20 years as CEO.
