Reporting to and in partnership with the President & CEO, the Director of Development will spearhead development and fundraising efforts as Future In Sight continues to grow our education, rehabilitation, and healthcare services to babies, children, adults, and seniors who experience significant sight loss. We continue to strengthen our mission, innovate new services and expand our reach to new populations who live with vision loss.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute the organization's annual fundraising plan
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
  • Manage Raiser's Edge and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing  
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors 
  • Create and execute a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors 
  • Oversee the organization of special events
  • Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
  • Assist social media marketing and outreach efforts 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA (required, MA a plus)
  • 5+ years experience in development and/or fundraising for a nonprofit
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge

SCHEDULE:

Regular office hours are 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Schedule may often vary due to deadlines and the general nature of the work; additional hours are required periodically.  Some travel within State required; office located in Concord, NH.
