The Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech) is a key member of the Adult Services Team, helping adults who live with vision loss to live safely and independently. The person in this role makes an impact on the individuals we serve through the practice of vision rehabilitation.  We, at Future In Sight, will provide additional training, as needed, in vision rehabilitation.

Reporting to the Supervisor - Adult Services, the primary responsibilities are: 

RESPONSIBILITIES and GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Primary responsibilities will be working with seniors, although will also include working-aged adults and students in transition
  • Determine, through evaluation, the needs of persons who are blind or visually impaired and provide training that addresses those needs
  • Ability to drive for extended periods of time as services are itinerant, covering the state of New Hampshire
  • Ensure timely input and reporting of service delivery data in the client database
  • Participate in the development, implementation and completion of client programs or service plans within the department and Agency
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners in the provision of services to clients; ability to excel as a team player
  • Serve as a resource to clients, their families and the community at large

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Services, Psychology, Nursing or other related field from an accredited College or University
  • Demonstrated comfort with technology and/or experience with assistive technologies
  • Low vision rehabilitation experience preferred but not required; we will provide low vision rehabilitation training, if needed

SCHEDULE:

Full or part time hours available. Schedule is flexible. Travel within a section of the state required as services are provided in the homes of clients; office located at 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH.
