SUMMARY:Computing with Confidence: Low Vision Skills for PC Users [VIRTUAL] *ADULTS 55+ ONLY*
DESCRIPTION:The focus of this workshop will be on the accessibility features of the PC desktop or laptop. We will discuss features like text-to-speech\, enlarged cursor\, and magnifier that make using a PC easier for users with low vision. \nThe workshop will be held virtually. \nParticipants must live in NH\, be 55 or older\, be able to provide a recent eye report\, and have a corrected acuity no greater than 20/50. \nTo apply for a spot in an upcoming Tech Workshop\, contact 603-224-4039 or services@futureinsight.org.* \n*Space in these workshops is VERY limited. Someone from Future In Sight will be in contact to complete the paperwork necessary to ensure that you qualify. Please note that you are unable to register for these tech workshops through the same registration system as our other activities (Classy). Our Silver Retreats may be for you! \nThese 5-day retreats focus on communication skills\, orientation & mobility\, accessible technology\, low vision skills and devices\, independent living skills\, adjustment to vision loss\, social interaction\, and peer support.
