
Assistive Tech Lab: Making a Hands Free Magnifier Holder

Holding a magnifier to read medications, the newspaper, mail, photos and other objects can be exhausting and difficult for many individuals. During this workshop, participants will make a hands-free magnify holders for tablets and smartphones. This workshop will also demonstrate how to use the magnifying features that are “built-in” on the iPhone and iPad.

Therese Willkomm has partnered with Future In Sight to present these tech lab workshops. Participants must sign up at least 2 weeks prior to each workshop in order to receive the material kits required to make these items the day of the event.

Dr. Willkomm is currently the Director of the New Hampshire Statewide Assistive Technology Program (ATinNH) with the Institute on Disability and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of New Hampshire.
