Assistive Tech Lab: Using QR Codes and NFC Stickers and How to Make Them Both Accessible
March 9 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Using Braille on business cards or bookmarks continues to be challenging due to limited space. In addition, many individuals don’t have access to braille equipment or have the time to create braille. QR codes and NFC stickers can be made accessible on both the iPhone and Android phones. In this workshop, participants will learn how to make a QR code, and make the QR code accessible by adding a sticker in the corner, and then independently scan the QR code with their smartphone to access the information.
LIMITED SPACE, SIGN UP TODAY!
Therese Willkomm has partnered with Future In Sight to present these tech lab workshops. Participants must sign up at least 2 weeks prior to each workshop in order to receive the material kits required to make these items the day of the event.
