"It was kind of one of those kismet moments where you figure something out." 

As Kelly Spain-Kelly was lining things up for her daughter Delaney's start in public school, she reached out to Future In Sight for information on services for Delaney.  She heard a lot, particularly of the shortage of trained  professionals who work with the visually impaired. And, life moved forward from there. As Kelly puts it, “I said, 'I have an education background. What do I need to do to help?'"

“It was kind of one of those kismet moments where you figure something out,” said Spain-Kelly. “I literally got off the phone and was like, ‘This is it. This is what I want to do.’”

Assocation Partners with Strawbery Banke on Interpretive Initiative

Portsmouth, New Hampshire (November 16, 2016) -- Strawbery Banke is celebrating being one of six beneficiaries of the Roger R. & Theresa S. Thompson Foundation Fund on two levels. First, the Thompson Fund announced the award of a $20,000 grant to Strawbery Banke for a new Botanical Sciences program to complement the Horticulture Center now, in development.

Future In Sight provides specialized programs and services for babies and toddlers, children and teens, adults and seniors with vision loss making an impact on nearly 5,000 lives last year alone. We rely on private donations to help us meet our mission to advance the independence of persons who are blind and visually impaired.
