Low Vision Occupational Therapists (OTs) are rehabilitation professionals who help reduce the impact of vision loss on your daily activities and maximize your remaining vision using aids and devices.
Services for Adults: Orientation & Mobility Training
Our Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialists (COMS) provide instruction and training that help you safely navigate your home and community with confidence.
Services for Adults: Adjustment-to-Blindness Counseling
Our Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) provides individual and group therapy to support individuals as they navigate the emotional, psychological and practical challenges of vision loss.

Our Assistive Technology (AT) Specialists can help make every day tasks easier. The tools and training we provide can help you live more independently, stay informed, and connect with others more easily.
Services for Adults: Activities & Workshops
Throughout the year, we offers peer support groups and recreational, fun group activities at various locations around the state and online. Activities include sewing, exposure to music and the arts, and various outings to experience all that New Hampshire’s parks, trails and nature preserves have to offer.

Vision loss often means losing the ability to drive. Our dedicated volunteer drivers help our clients get to vital appointments and run essential errands.

Are you a 65+ woman living in the Greater Manchester area?
The Mary Gale Fund through Future In Sight supports low-income women experiencing vision loss and blindness, age 65 or older, living in the Greater Manchester area (Manchester, Bedford, Goffstown, Hooksett, Londonderry, Litchfield, Candia, and Auburn) to maintain their independence and safety while living in the community.
The Mary Gale Fund has helped pay for services such as rehabilitation, occupational therapy, orientation & mobility training, education, and counseling for women experiencing visual impairment and blindness. This fund assists with items generally not covered by any other source such as visual aids and devices.

Adult Profile Story: Maureen F.
Maureen is a widow who lives alone in Manchester, NH. Now in her 70s, she was diagnosed with Glaucoma at just 26 years old. As her vision worsened, eye drops and surgeries were no longer enough and she is now legally blind. She got connected to Future In Sight through her eye doctor and regularly utilizes our transportation services and attends our activities & workshops and peer support groups.
Adult Profile Story: David K.
Dave is in his 70s and lives with is wife of over 50 years in Bedford, NH. He is a former Air Force pilot who lost his vision in his early 60s as a result of a lymphoma. As someone who directly understands the impact of our services, he now represents the blind and visually impaired (BVI) community on our Board of Directors.
Adult Profile Story: Darlene P.
Darlene is in her 90s and lives in Portsmouth, NH with her husband of over 70 years and their little dog, Peaches. She has Macular Degeneration, which her mother and grandmother also had. She is still able to live safely at home due to the tools and training she has received from Future In Sight.
Adult Profile Story: Carl C.
Carl is in his 70s and has been living in Dover, NH with his wife for over 25 years. He was born with retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) but still had vision in one eye. When the vision in that eye got worse, he had a surgery that did not go well and he now struggles with contrast resolution. His eye doctor connected him with Future In Sight and he now has the tools he needs to safely navigate his home environment and accomplish day to day tasks. He also takes advantage of our transportation program.
