Our licensed and certified Low Vision and Rehabilitation professionals will assist you so that you can maximize any remaining vision you may have. With adaptive aids and devices, they can make simple enhancements in your home that will make food preparation and cooking easier, make reading or watching TV more enjoyable, and relocate items that could be trip & fall hazards.
Don’t wait until your vision gets worse. Ask your eye doctor for a referral to Future In Sight today!
When you first begin working with Future In Sight, you will speak with a member of our Client Care team who will learn about you and your vision loss and schedule time to visit you in your home to fully understand your needs.
Work with an Occupational Therapist
Occupational Therapists (OTs) can work with you intensively to provide instruction about modifying daily activities to reduce limitations that your vision loss causes.
Train with a Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist
If you are newly blinded or have deteriorating vision, our Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialists (COMS) provide instruction and training that help you to safely navigate your environment with confidence. Instruction techniques include working with another person who is a sighted guide, as well as learning to use a white cane and Assistive Technology (AT) to build up independent travel skills at home, at work, or in the community.
Receive Counseling
With a diagnosis of profound vision loss, there is a grieving process that occurs. We also provide Counseling to support you as a whole person.
We work closely with your doctors to provide complete care, and our Occupational Therapist services are often covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
If you or someone you know could benefit from our services, contact us now.
