2026 – Awarded by the NH Commission on Aging

A recipient is chosen from every county in the state, recognizing their contributions through volunteerism. The Older Adults Volunteer Awards (OAVA) are presented each year in May, nationally recognized as Older Americans Month.

 

Kathleen N. – Patriots Difference Maker of the Week

 

2026 – Awarded by the New England Patriots

The Kraft family, the New England Patriots Foundation and Gillette celebrate volunteers that work tirelessly throughout the New England region. Each week throughout the 2025 season, the Patriots select a “Patriots Difference Maker of the Week” to share examples of dedicated volunteers, build awareness of the need for volunteering, identify and educate others about volunteer opportunities and inspire New Englanders to follow the Kraft family’s example of becoming lifelong volunteers.

 

 

Swirl Pierce – Jeff Dickinson Service Dog of the Year

 

2024 – Awarded by Granite State Independent Living

Created in memory of beloved former Director of Advocacy for Granite State Independent Living, Jeff Dickinson, this award honors his legacy of relentless advocacy with his deep connection with service dogs, including his own. Jeff’s life was defined by resilience, collaboration, and empowerment – the same qualities that service dogs bring to their handlers every day.

 

 

Lions Lift, a partnership between Lions Club Chapters of New Hampshire and Future In Sight – Outstanding Awardee in the Group Category

 

2024 – Awarded by Volunteer NH in the 2024 “Spirit of NH” awards

This event recognizes those who go above and beyond the call to serve throughout the Granite State, shining a spotlight on the often unsung heroes among us in front of an audience of their families, friends, colleagues, and the greater community. This category recognizes groups of 2+ individuals who volunteer together or with the same organization.

 

 

Randy Pierce – Named as a New Hampshire 200 Most Influential Business Leader

 

2024 – Awarded by the New Hampshire Business Review

The New Hampshire 200 is the product of a year-long research initiative by the editors of NH Business Review resulting in a personal, engaging look at the state’s most influential business leaders across major industries. 

 

 

 

Ellen K. – Patriots Difference Maker Volunteer Award Winner

 

2022 – Awarded by the New England Patriots

The New England Patriots Foundation announced $100,000 in grants to 17 local nonprofits in honor of each Patriots Difference Maker named during the 2022 Celebrate Volunteerism initiative.  The Celebrate Volunteerism initiative aims to share examples of dedicated volunteers, build awareness of the need for volunteering, identify and educate others about volunteer opportunities and inspire New Englanders to follow the Kraft family’s example of becoming lifelong volunteers. 

 

 

Cliff S. – Outstanding Awardee in the Senior Category

 

2022 – Awarded by Volunteer NH in the 2022 “Spirit of NH” awards

This event recognizes those who go above and beyond the call to serve throughout the Granite State, shining a spotlight on the often unsung heroes among us in front of an audience of their families, friends, colleagues, and the greater community. This award recognizes individual volunteers ages 65+.
