Real World Skill-Building Series: Café Confidence Workshop *YOUTH AGES 12-24*

During this in-person Real World Skill-Building workshop, participants will practice dining skills through a simulated experience in our Activity Center including arriving at a restaurant, navigating to the appropriate table, accessing the menu, when and how to order, dining etiquette, payment, and exiting the restaurant. From start to finish and whatever might happen along the way, our staff will prepare participants for their next level of dining independence. As the participants demonstrate readiness, they will put their skills to use at our “real world” luncheon. Participants will leave with the social interaction, assistive technology, and independent living skills to have more positive dining experiences in the future.

This event will take place at the Future In Sight offices located at 25 Walker Street in Concord, NH.

Leading up to the in-person workshop, there will be two virtual Empower Hour gatherings on Wednesday, March 12th and Wednesday, April 9. Both will take place from 7-8PM on Zoom. Sign up for the virtual Empower Hours here.
