Concord, NH – Saturday, May 17th marked the 22nd anniversary of Future In Sight’s signature fundraising event, the Walk For Sight. Funds raised during the Walk For Sight enable Future In Sight, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, to continue providing vital services to children, adults and elderly in NH who are blind and visually impaired.
The 22nd annual Walk For Sight consisted of a 1-mile loop through downtown Concord, starting and ending at the State House. In addition to the Walk itself, Grand Marshal Denise Davis, a client of Future In Sight and fierce advocate for the blind & visually impaired (BVI) community, addressed the crowd while “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child played and Christopher Duffley, a client of Future In Sight who became an internet sensation when videos of him singing the National Anthem at multiple Red Sox games went viral, sang the National Anthem to kick off the event. Over 325 participants were in attendance despite the rainy weather.
The public can still support the Walk For Sight and Future In Sight by purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets at futureinsight.org/walkforsight. The winner will be drawn on Tuesday, May 20th and notified via email.
