Social Media Star Sam Seavey, host of The Blind Life on YouTube, will Grand Marshal the Walk For Sight on Saturday, May 18th in Downtown Concord. 2024 marks the 21st anniversary of Future In Sight’s signature fundraising event. Future In Sight is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides services to children, adults and elderly in NH who are blind and visually impaired as a result of trauma, disease, and the natural progression of age. Many of the individuals that Future In Sight serves are considered low income as a result of their vision disability and/or aging out of the workforce. Funds raised during the Walk For Sight enable Future In Sight to continue offering services regardless of one’s ability to pay.
The 21st Annual Walk For Sight will consist of a 1-mile loop through downtown Concord, starting and ending on the Capitol lawn. In addition to the Walk itself, there will be speeches from some exciting individuals including Mr. Seavey, fun photo opportunities, a puppy kissing booth with puppies who will one day be guide dogs, and a live DJ to keep the energy up. Everyone who registers for the Walk For Sight will receive a drawstring bag filled with goodies. All walkers are encouraged to leverage their participation to help Future In Sight fundraise. Top fundraising individuals and teams will win a pizza delivery to celebrate their fundraising success. The public can support the 21st Annual Walk For Sight by registering to walk as an individual or starting/joining a team, volunteering to work the event, or by making a donation to the event. Corporate sponsors are also welcome. Visit futureinsight.org/walkforsight to register, donate or learn more.
