Celebrate October Birding: A hands-on experience [CONCORD, NH] *ADULTS ONLY*

October is birding month, and what better way to stretch our own birding wings than an in-person engaging visit to the McLane Audubon Center, located at 84 Silk Farm Road – Concord, NH. Come face-to-face with a live Red-tailed Hawk or Barred Owl! You’ll get hands-on with replica talons, bird skulls and feathers to explore what makes these incredible hunters unique. We’ll also practice recognizing distinct bird calls indoors in a controlled environment. To wrap up the morning, we’ll step outside to try picking out a few local birds in the trees with our birding by ear abilities.

What a great way to grow our birding knowledge, learn from the experts, and lean into a wonderful skill. No experience necessary. Participants should be able to sit for a period of time and then walk in an outdoor casual setting for about 30 minutes.
