FIS Tech: Essential Google Applications – 8-Week Remote Certificate of Completion Course *ADULTS ONLY*

This 8-week interactive course beginning Wednesday, January 14, 2026 is designed to help you master Google Workspace—a set of free, powerful tools including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive. These applications allow you to communicate, organize and collaborate more effectively, whether for personal use, professional growth or community advocacy. Through hands-on assignments and guided practice, you’ll gain practical skills that transfer directly into daily life. By the end of the course, you’ll bring it all together in a final project and earn a Certificate of Completion.

Prerequisites:
• A Windows computer with reliable internet
• Ability to get on Zoom
• A free Google account (with Gmail access) already set up
• Ability to access Google Workspace tools: Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive
• Basic keyboarding skills
• Screen reader (NVDA, JAWS, Narrator) or low-vision settings as needed
• Ability to attend at least 7 of 8 classes, taking place on Wednesdays; dates are 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, (2/18 winter break), 2/25, 3/4, and 3/11
