Making your home work for you, using smart home technology *ADULTS 55+ ONLY*

A hand on an Amazon Alexa

This workshop will share information on how current smart home technologies can benefit the blind and low vision community. This will include the use of smart speakers and a voice assistant (i.e.: Alexa) for tasks around the home (maintain calendar, stay up on news, set timer, etc.) and will address how these systems can promote Aging in Place.

This workshop will be held virtually.

Participants must live in NH, be 55 or older, be able to provide a recent eye report, and have a corrected acuity no greater than 20/50.

These Tech Workshops are supported with federal funds from the Rehabilitation Service Administration, hosted by Services for the Blind and Vision Impaired, a service of the state’s Department of Education/Vocational Rehabilitation.
