February 1, 2025 @ 9:45 am - 2:00 pm
Join us for the next workshop in our Real World Skill-Building Series which will consist of two simultaneous tracks; one for students who are blind and visually impaired ages 14-22 and one for parents and caregivers.
This workshop will be held in-person at Future In Sight in Concord, NH.
There is a back-up date on February 8th in case of snow.
This engaging event invites young individuals aged 12 to 24 who are blind or visually impaired to participate in “A Heartfelt Valentine’s” experience. Older students will have the exciting opportunity to step into leadership roles, guiding and inspiring their peers throughout the day. This is sure to be a celebration to remember with lots of surprises and smiles! Separate programming for parents ensures a comprehensive and enriching experience for everyone involved. Whether in the classroom at school, baking brownies on a Friday night, planning a trip to the mall, and etc. technology is an integral part of our lives and especially for those who are blind and visually impaired. Learn how to navigate and advocate for and support your youth’s independence in an ever changing world of accessible technology! A pizza lunch will be provided.
